8 Laws of Health
The 8 Laws of Health are guidelines based on basic needs of the body for health and healing, which were established at creation and mirror the pattern of the sanctuary as a shadow of Jesus' work in us to recreate us.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells of how our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Philippians 1:6 tells us: "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." We are human with habits and past experiences that affect our health (mind, body, and spirit), but trust the process as you cooperate with His desire for you!

Day 1 of Creation
Rest
"...Darkness was upon the face of the deep," Genesis 1:2 (KJV). Creation begins with darkness and was called night. We observe that rest is fundamental for health due to the reset of several body systems. To have a good day, it is important to begin with a night of rest.

Day 1 of Creation
Light
"Let there be light," Genesis 1:3 (KJV). Light stimulates hormone processes, Vitamin D formation, control of harmful microbes, and more. We need the literal and metaphorical light for health.

Day 2 of Creation
Clean Water
"Let there be firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters, " Genesis 1:6 (KJV). Water can be used to in many ways to promote health. Hydrotherapy uses hot and cold water to promote circulation, and decrease pain and inflammation. Water internally can be used to detox, improve cellular communication, and alleviate brain fog and fatigue.

Day 2 of Creation
Fresh Air
The intake of fresh air into our lungs bring oxygen to our tissue, stimulates the production of nitric oxide (a powerful antioxidant), and stimulates the vagus nerve to calm anxiety and stress. The air in nature is fresher than the city air because of how the vegetation and natural water contribute to cleaning the air. If we don't have immediate access to nature, we can consider air filters and house plants to remove contaminants that burden our health and lead to sinus and lung issues.

Day 3 of Creation
Nutrition
"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind," Genesis 1:12 (KJV). "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat," Genesis 1:29 (KJV). We find that each individual has slightly different nutrient needs and we can tailor diets to meet those needs. Current technology helps us identify deficiencies, food allergies, and genetic predispositions to help support one's system.

Day 3 of Creation
Activity
With the intake and assimilation of good nutrition, the cellular processes then reward the system with energy that beckons to be used in the form of activity. Movement stimulates circulation and produces hormones that make us feel happy and fulfilled, while decreasing the stress hormones. When this excess energy is not used up with activity, you will find the excess energy manifesting as restlessness, attention deficit disorders, irritability, and increased aches and pains that tend to move from place to place in the body. A gentle stroll after each meal is a great way to promote health.

Day 4 of Creation
Temperance
"Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years," Genesis 1:14 (KJV). God set the sun, moon, and stars to support circadian rhythms within nature and within our bodies. We learn that when we cooperate with these rhythms and practice temperance (the moderation of what is good for our body and avoidance of what is harmful), then our body will function optimally.

Day 5, 6, 7
Trust in God
On the 5th day, the creatures that live in the water and fly in the air were created. On the 6th day, the creatures that live on dry land were created. And last but not least, on the 6th day, He created man and woman in His image. Then "God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made," Genesis 2:3 (KJV). These last 3 days of creation week is a testament to the importance of relationships. When we lost our connection with God, it became our purpose and yearning to regain that connection. Jesus' sacrifice opened the door for the Holy Spirit to recreate us: "be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2 KJV). Jesus said "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick" (Matthew 9:12).

Ultimate Purpose
ReCreation
"Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary" Psalm 77:13. We find the sanctuary pointed to God's plan to reconnect us to Him, walking us back to Him. "What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV. As we cooperate with Him, He transforms us and brings us healing physically, mentally, and spiritually.
