Compassionate care meeting
you right where you are.
At NDCARE, we believe that healing isn't just physical, it's emotional, spiritual, and deeply personal. Our work is rooted in the understanding that health is a gift, and true care must honor the whole person. Whether you’re navigating hormone imbalance, chronic fatigue, or emotional heaviness, our goal is to walk with you toward lasting healing.

Meet Celisha Gerber, LAc, ND(OR)
I was raised in a Christian family where health was treasured as a gift to be cared for. Medications were rarely used in our home; instead, we relied on nature’s remedies and the body's own wisdom. As a third-generation vegetarian, I was taught to use food as medicine, support fevers rather than suppress them, and practice hydrotherapy to treat infections. Garlic potato soup was a staple in our healing process, both for its immune benefits and its comfort.
Over the years, my passion for understanding the body deepened and I wanted to bring the knowledge of physiology to healthcare because the more one knows about how the body works, the better one can cooperate with its efforts to self-heal. I have a great respect for conventional medicine, particularly in acute and life-threatening situations. And where conventional medicine has its limitations in chronic ailments, disease prevention, and emotional healing, we can fill that gap.
It’s estimated that 80–90% of physical ailments have emotional roots. Grief can weaken the lungs, anxiety can burden the liver, and worry can disturb digestion. My goal as a practitioner is to meet clients where they are—supporting their health not only physically and emotionally.
Near the end of medical school, I spent a summer in Argentina completing clinical work, and it was there that I met my future husband. After returning to Washington to finish school, he soon came to visit me—and not long after, we were married in my hometown church in Maryville, TN. We’ve now been married for 18 years and are blessed with two beautiful children.
In 2019, we opened our first healthcare practice together in Medford, Oregon. Since then, we’ve expanded our reach by opening a second practice in Knoxville, Tennessee. I provide in-person care locally as well as telehealth services for clients across the country. I hold a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master’s in Acupuncture, and I am licensed as an ND in Oregon and as an acupuncturist in Tennessee and Florida.
Above all, I believe that the Lord is our ultimate Healer. I’m honored to walk alongside clients on their healing journeys—to help them align with their God-given purpose and thrive spiritually, physically, and mentally.

Our Personal Journey with Natural Medicine
Celisha’s Experience

During my first pregnancy, I faced a complication that led to our son arriving a month and a half early. After spending three days in the hospital on IV medications, labor was eventually induced. Unfortunately, I had a severe reaction to the medications, resulting in full-body hives.
Wanting to avoid steroids, which could have impacted my ability to breastfeed, I turned to hydrotherapy, a method I’d grown up using. I alternated a hot shower with a 30-second full-body immersion in ice-cold water. After repeating this process three times, the hives finally calmed, and I was able to continue caring for my newborn naturally and safely.
Donaldo's Experience

When I first moved to the United States, I was still adjusting to the new environment when I developed a painful and persistent ear infection. After three sleepless nights and no relief from either natural remedies or antibiotics, I finally agreed to let my wife, Celisha, try acupuncture on me.
The moment the needles were inserted, I drifted into my first restful sleep in days. When I woke, the pain had started to ease and my ear had begun to drain. Over the following days, I continued to recover steadily. That experience was a turning point for me as it opened my eyes to the incredible power of natural medicine and reaffirmed our commitment to this path of healing.
“Sometimes the answer isn’t more medicine. It’s a return to what your body already knows how to do.” - Celisha Gerber, LAc, ND(OR)

A Legacy of Healing
My journey into natural medicine is deeply rooted in my family’s legacy of faith, service, and healing. My parents met and married at a humble Seventh-day Adventist school and sanitarium in Santa Lucía Milpas Altas, Guatemala. At the time of my birth, my father was serving as the assistant director of the school, while my mother was excelling as a midwife.
A few years later, they felt called to the United States, where they expanded their vision by opening a chiropractic practice in Maryville, Tennessee, while raising four children.
That same passion for healing and service continued into the next generation: each of us pursued a different path in the health field—chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, allopathic medicine, and counseling. Our shared foundation in holistic, faith-driven care has shaped each of our approaches to helping others heal in body, mind, and spirit.
